Department 15 - HORSES-OPEN

Ages are determined as follows: the age a person will attain by January 1 of the fair year (see General Rules for more details). For lead-line class, youth must be accompanied by a responsible adult. See Horse Facility Rules in this book.
A current negative Coggins is required for all horses. (Must be posted on stall). Papers will be checked against animal by fair personnel.
Most 4-H guidelines including youth helmet regulations will be followed.
Classes with less than 5 entries, paying the same fee, may be combined.
Open entry fee- $4.00 per class-this must be paid with pre-registration entries. The person entered must ride-no transfers to another person.
Payback: 75%
Stalls-Large stalls with tack $15.00, large stall $10.00, regular stall $5.00. No ponies in large stalls. There are only 3 large stalls with tack, 22 large stalls, first come, first serve. (open class participants my haul in and out the same day).

For the open Speed Show-Dress code: Western shirts - may be long sleeve, short sleeve, no sleeve but MUST have a collar. No T-shirts. NO HOLES IN JEANS.

Inform of tack changes first thing in the a.m.
No switching classed the day of the show.
